I have created this site based on my experiences as a college student at the University of Delaware Hopefully it will provide you with some helpful tips and resources, and maybe a laugh or two
A little bit about me:
My full name is Madeline, but only my mother calls me that. To everyone else I am Maddi.
I was born and raised in the wonderful city of Minnetonka, Minnesota. It's a suburb of the capital - Minneapolis/St. Paul - so there was always something to do when we weren't on the lake that gives my city its name.
I am currently 20 years old and a junior nursing major attending the University of Delaware.
I have an older brother, Andrew, who is 22 years old (though he acts a lot younger). I also have a cute retriever named Griffin and the fattest tabby cat in the world: Chunky.
I think laughter is an essential part of life, and like to find the humor in things if possible.
People always ask me.. Why Delaware?
Originally it was put on my radar because of the amazing figure skating program here. I figure skated from when I was old enough to be strapped into skates until I was 18. I actually competed with the synchronized team here at Delaware freshman year.
Additionally, the nursing program attracted me because you were accepted immediately as a freshman, and it was just four years.
I had to make a tough decision to quit skating to be able to get a job and support myself while putting the rest of my time into studying. Though it was hard, it was the right decision. I absolutely love the program here, and all the friends I've made. Though it's been a tough ride, I've managed to make it this far, and I am happy with the decisions I've made. So here I am over halfway done (that's a scary thought), and I'd love to share some of my experiences and things that helped me through the tough times. Enjoy!
